8 Go-To Websites for Turning Your Child into an Academic Star
By Deanna Hurn, Founder and Executive Director of Miracle Math Coaching
Hello Everyone! School’s underway, and you probably know in general how well your child is doing. If you don’t, it’s not difficult to find out. You can go to back-to-school night if it hasn’t already passed or just contact your child’s school to find out the best way to connect with the teacher. Showing that you’re concerned can go a long way in influencing how much support your child receives in the classroom.
And outside of class, here are eight websites – four for younger students and four for older students – that offer lots of ways to help you groom an A+ student. Some I’ve mentioned before, and some are new.
Younger Kids:
50 Essential Links for the Parents of Gifted Children
Whether you child is gifted, here’s a Open Education Database link that provides information on keeping students engaged, supported and well-adjusted in school.
The PTA’s Parent Guide to Student Success
This guide was developed in response to the Common Core State Standards, which all students must take to measure their knowledge based upon grade level.
