Our Discovery Process: Individualized Assessment

No two people in the world have the same brain, or learn in the same manner. The brain is constantly growing and evolving and adapting to its environment. It is changing to adjust to our skills, experiences, and our level of understanding.

By understanding this a parent, you will have a higher level of appreciation for the importance of a process that aids in uncovering how your child learns. Your child will gain the unique ability to learn more, in a shorter amount of time. Best of all, when your child learns, they will learn with an exceptionally higher level of understanding.

Assess and Explore

The first two steps involved in the discovery process here at Miracle Math Coaching is the individualized assessment and the exploration of that assessment. Each child is provided with an assessment that aids in determining their level of understanding of mathematics. This is a relatively short assessment that provides us with immense results. The data is gathered and the math coach meets with both the student and their family for a type of interview. The information pulled from this meeting is put together with the assessment to provide a picture of who the student is, how they learn, and their weaknesses. A plan of action is then created for the child.

Discovery

The next step in the process is the actual discovery. You will choose one of the plans presented to you for your child. We then all work together to determine everyone’s level of availability and arrange the plan, accordingly. Discovery is brain-based learning, at its best. This type of learning takes a multitude of teaching methods, educational programs, and a variety of lessons and incorporates them into the learning regiment of a struggling student. This aids in the process of learning, the cognitive-based development of the child, as well as the child’s emotional growth.

Are you ready to see your child excel in math? Are you ready to watch your child overcome the fear, frustration, and anxiety that their lack of knowledge has caused? Are you ready to see your child reach new levels in their knowledge and self-esteem? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, it is time for your family to initiate the discovery process.
