The Revolution is Here

Today, the most important thing you can do is to truly be present with whatever it is you commit to doing this year.

The word “revolution” comes from the Latin, “revolutio,” which means “a turnaround.”  The most important way to make that happen is by changing what you do on a daily basis.

I was talking with my daughter today about going back to school.  While this school year was much better than last, she is still striving to reach her goals academically.  I shared with her that the challenge is not your goals, but your habits.

I lost almost 100 pounds in 2016.  It wasn’t until I saw that I had a habit problem and not a weight problem that I begin to work on what really mattered.  I changed the habits that were formed from years of twisted thinking around diets and food .

Today I maintain my weight because my thinking has changed and therefore I’ve established habits that support the healthy lifestyle I’ve always desired .

Friends, your challenges this year are not about your goals; they’re about your thinking regarding what you hope to obtain.

As a mother and educator, I have offered effective revolutionary solutions to many students and their families.  But I, too, have struggled.  Now, I realize that the path to success starts with a mindset.  As a parent, you must think of this endeavor as nothing short of revolutionary.

That’s when I realized that my passion was to share with young students the learning techniques I developed to get myself through college.  Academic coaching is my true calling.

MMC, which adheres to California’s Standards for the Common Core, has been proven to increase exam scores, grade point averages and assessment test results.  In 2015, students scored approximately 30 percent higher on a Math assessment test six months after enrolling in Miracle Math.
